It's been a year since the last one and now the 2016 Kids Create event is ready for your child's original artwork to be brought to life through crochet!
The above graphic shows examples of the 2015 entries/artists/finished items, the kids LOVED seeing their drawings come to life!
The graphic also lays out the rules for this event as well as supplies the sign-up form, contact information and timeline.
We're blessed again to have such a fabulous group of volunteer crocheters who wait patiently (or impatiently in some cases, lol) for the entries to come rolling in so they can get started. They will selflessly donate their time, energy and supplies to make this event what it is!
As an overview, here are the rules:
*Kids will draw a character they'd like to see translated into a crocheted toy(toy will measure approx 5"-8" tall and/or wide). NO trademarked characters please, we will not be able to reproduce those.
*The drawings should be by hand drawn ONLY, no computer generated art, and should include NO MORE than 8 colors. Photos of the drawings should be emailed to kaleidoscopeartngifts@hotmail.com OR sent via FB message to the Kaleidoscope Art&Gifts page NO LATER than 7/1/16. Please include the child's first name and age in the email/message.

*Contest is open to boys and girls ages 4-10. ONE entry PER child please.
*All entries submitted by the deadline WILL be transformed into toys and sent to the artists. There will be a "fan favorite" vote and the artists of the top TWO drawings will receive a small prize in addition to their toy.
*Volunteer crocheters will have until 7/23/16 to bring the toy to life and an additional week to get it shipped off to the child artist.
We can't wait to see what these young artists create for us to bring to life for them!
